i have learned some really valuable things the past few mountain bike rides, in temps around 26 degrees.

1-wearing chapstick is crucial, because my face would be so completely miserable without the little bit of relief on my lips that it would totally fall off.

2-MTB'n in the winter is SO clean when its below freezing, because all the mud/puddles you might encounter are frozen solid. so convenient.

3-creek crossings are about 1000000x scarier because the thought of getting wet is a HUGE bumout.

4-i love legwarmers, but only ones that don't fall down while you're riding

5-ice sounds amazing when you ride over it

6-i am a total weenie when it comes to large sections of sloping rocks(especially in the cold and with ice on them), i don't know if this will ever change, but i'm optimistic...

thats it. stoked to ride again maybe sunday. monday i'm packing a lunch and i'm gonna tackle the sections that i keep wussing out on. call 911 and warn em...

christmas happened, followed by a day and a half of total lazytimes relaxing. glad to be home, even though west va was fun. looking forward to a chill new years.

everyone is so stressed and angry and aggressive. wish folks everywhere would chill out. its just a holiday, no bigs, try to enjoy friends and family, and chill out. walking through carytown, listening to the people sitting in traffic road rage-ing in their cars was frightening. so many people, so angry.

6+ inches of snow fell friday night, accompanied by more ice and snow saturday. got to work from home saturday am, which was cool considering i could basically snuggle with egon while calling clients. no bigs. andrew went on a crucial brutal night mountain bike ride on friday, came back an icicle. managed to take no pics at all saturday, but we rode around church hill and had fun. hung with friends, played lots of contra hard corps and sonic 2, much foursquare discussion. sunday stayed in bed with a migrane all day. wasted day. monday took egon to play, cleaned house. trees are up and decorated fully, presents are mostly wrapped, cookies are in the process of being baked. 2.5 days of work til 5 days off.
stoked.

dog party was awesome. dudes went hard for about three hours, and crashed in the car before we even made it home. slept all day, then slept all day the next day. thats whats up. good to wear em out completely. weekend was real chill and i needed it.

egon's birthday is happening soon. doggie birthday party? i'm on it, don't worry.

halloween happened. it was awesome. photos were all blurry and cloudy from the fog machine blasting. worked all day in full luchadora glory, haunted house from 6pm til i couldn't take it anymore. in bed by 11. epic.
